Why is my blood needed?
+ The American Red Cross collects over half the nation’s blood supply and ensures the safest possible blood is readily available whenever and wherever needed.
+ The blood supply needs to be continually replenished.
+ All blood types are needed to ensure the Red Cross maintains an adequate blood supply.
+ Only 38% of Americans are eligible to donate blood and out of those only 8% actually do....That means only 3 out of every 100 that are eligible actually give.

How do I know if I can give?
+ Weigh at least 110 pounds
+ Be at least 17 years old (16 with completed Parental Consent Form)
+ New height and weight restrictions apply to donors younger than 19.

What do I bring with me at check-in?
A blood donor card
or
A driver’s license
or
Two other forms of identification
